Turbo Force air pre-cleaning serves to remove the majority of dirt and dust from the air prior to it reaching the filter for less cleaning and optimum protection of key components; while a decompression valve means the effort required to pull the starter-cord is lessened by a massive 70-percent.

The Tanaka ECV 4501-18 Petrol Chainsaw might be powerful and solidly constructed, but it nevertheless weighs only 4kg. This, along with its series of four vibration-damping cushions, ensures lengthy shifts can be finished in comfort.

Other premium features include a fast-acting chain-brake that’s triggered in a fraction of a second should a knot in the wood cause the saw to ‘kick-back’; and an adjustable chain-oiler that facilitates the efficient cutting of different densities of wood.
